1. – Google Assistant
Google Assistant allows you to ask a wide array of questions and get answers from your mobile phone. You can find Google Assistant in Android devices with Marshmallow, Nougat or Oreo.
You can activate Google Assistant by pressing down your home button or by saying “Ok Google.” Following are a series of voice command examples that you can use:
- Open any Apps with your voice, for example by saying “OK Google, open WhatsApp.”
- Make calls using voice commands such as “Call George” or “Call Chris.”
- Are you on a business trip to Italy and don’t know how to say a particular word? Say “How do you say (your word here) in Italian.”
- Too busy with office work and fearful that you may forget an appointment? Set a reminder by saying “Set a reminder for meeting with (name of the client here).”
- Buried under a ton of work and feeling unmotivated? Don’t worry, say “Ok Google, get me a motivational quote” and see what you get.
Google Assistant has many more commands available on a wide array of topics.

Lyra is a conversational AI assistant app for mobile phones.
Lyra is capable of retaining the memory of previous interactions when you change devices. This way you don’t have to start over.

Lyra takes contextual information into account, such as your location. Unless you specify otherwise, Lyra will assume you are looking for results near you.
Lyra is also capable of tracking your preferences. For instance, if you ask “I’m hungry” it will find restaurants comparable to past searches.

3. – Hound AI App for Android
Hound is a voice-activated AI assistant app for Smartphones. You can use it to search for anything on the internet and activate your phone.
According to its creators, what sets Hound apart from other AI apps for Android, is that it can understand natural phrases. You don’t need to use a cumbersome collection of keywords anymore.
Hound supports GPS and navigation-related requests. For example, you can ask for the nearest place to drink coffee or eat sushi.
You can even find and book hotels, order an Uber ride, present movie showtimes and more. Hound also allows you to send text messages, make phone calls and set alarms on your phone.
Hound is capable of providing results upon a more conversational request. Instead of saying “Find Sushi Restaurants” you could ask “what are the top-rated Sushi restaurants around me?”
Here are some examples of voice commands you can use with hound:
“OK Hound… Tell me about the Amazon River.”
“OK Hound… Set an alarm for 7 am every weekday.”

At the time of this writing, Hound is only available in English. Also, it is only available for United States users. The creators don’t have a timeline for availability in other areas and languages.
